The parka + scarf + hat + gloves combo is getting
quite the workout this season
Portland Public Schools elected to close today, but many weather-weary businesses are trudging through best they can. That often leaves those with children in a lurch, not to mention safety concerns even driving their children to daycare.
What to do? It now seems clear that our entire city can't take a "snow day" at the sight (or threat) of a bit of snow or ice.
For today anyway, Heart Spring Health is up and running full speed ahead.
For myself, as long as Trimet is running, I am able to get to the clinic. I let my patients' and the safety of their commute, dictate my schedule on inclement weather days.
And here's to hoping that the worst of it is behind us, because as essentially a collection of small business owners here at the clinic, as has been felt city-wide, it is difficult to sustain a healthy business with so very many "snow days."
