PRP Facials and Hair Restoration
Aesthetic medicine that turn back the hands of time, naturally!
For decades Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections have been performed in the Orthopedic or Sports Medicine realm, showing great response in helping one's body rebuild joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles.
In the last decade or so, this natural and highly beneficial treatment has been brought over into Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine. If PRP can help rebuild joint tissue, why not soft tissue, such as our face and hair follicles?
Like PRP for orthopedic injections, PRP for Aesthetic therapies also begins with a blood draw, then the extracted platelets are injected into areas of fine lines, deep wrinkles and areas of hair loss. This therapy may be combined with micro-needling, or either done as a stand-alone treatment.
The effect is cumulative- if a patient gets more than one treatment, each session working to rejuvenate the skin and connective tissue beneath. For the face, the effect is a natural softening of the skin, often improving the complexion and evenness of skin tone as it is supporting natural skin regrowth. For hair loss, the intent is to regrow tissue surrounding the follicles, so that an increase in blood flow and nutrition leads to naturally thicker hair.

This therapy is in contrast to fillers and botox, which are providing artificial freezing of wrinkle-forming muscles and filling in more depressed areas of the face with synthetic compounds. PRP Facials provide a more youthful appearance naturally but do not drastically change the natural shape of one's face.
