I don't often share medical articles, mostly because I think that they are of interest mainly to practitioners, and not necessarily a general audience. That being said, there is a lot of unfamiliarity with injection therapies, so I wanted to share these with you all:
Dr. Harris' overview of neural therapy, ozone therapy and neural prolotherapy.
Dr. Russo's use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in percutaenous neuroplasty (using injections on chronic nerve pains such as carpal tunnel syndrome).
As I am currently offering or actively planning on bringing all these therapies to Heart Spring Health this year, I thought these two articles were great reviews on the subject of Naturopathic injection therapies.
If you, like myself and my colleagues at Heart Spring Health, are residents of the Pacific Northwest, then you are likely quite well acquainted to allergies- seasonal and otherwise. Maybe you dread the springtime, and the coughing, sneezing, red itchy eyes that for so many of us come with the beautiful blooms.
Maybe you've tried allergy shots. Maybe you consider Claritin your multivitamin and couldn't go a day without it. But if you've resigned yourself to a lifetime of allergy meds, first look into getting a comprehensive evaluation of your allergies, as well as talking through natural alternatives.
Allergy medicines are well known for causing insomnia, low libido, dizziness and low blood pressure.
Surprisingly, there is a lot you can do to lessen your allergies. Read more on this topic- Dr. Laurie Menk Otto ND is a colleague of mine who has great success in treating allergies, so put down that tissue and read what she has to say.
Dr. Jason Wells ND, L.Ac is a colleague of mine at Heart Spring Health. His clinical focus is on autoimmune conditions and gastrointestinal health. That means he know a lot about how to keep your immune system and guts happy. Check out his most recent writing on the subject of digestive system health, including a new recipe on an old food condiment. Enjoy!
